Professional Builder magazine and AVID Ratings announced the winners of the sixth annual AVID
Awards™ for best customer experience in the home building industry. Gerstad Builders, with single-family
home communities in McHenry, Poplar Grove, Richmond (all in Illinois) and Williams Bay (Wisconsin),
received the AVID Diamond & AVID Cup Awards for Best Customer Experience in the United States and
North America. The winners of the 2008 awards will be published in the November 2008 issue of Professional
Builder.
The Awardshonor the best builders in the United States & Canada for homeowner satisfaction. According
to survey respondents, 98.6 percent of Gerstad Builders’ homebuyers would recommend the builder
to their family and friends. From the extensive survey, Gerstad Builders also discovered that
their customers were very pleased with the cleanliness of the construction jobsite, reasonable cost
of upgrades, quality of features like cabinetry & trim, and upon closing homes were clean and ready
to move in.
Surveying over 400 homebuilding companies throughout the United States and Canada, AVID Ratings maintains
the largest homebuyer satisfaction database in the industry. AVID Ratings assesses homebuyers’
experience and then provides focused business solutions and training programs to improve referrals,
margins, and long-term customer loyalty.
